European and Governmental Affairs
Since the Club is based in Brussels, with staff having gained previous professional experience in the European institutions (European Commission, European Parliament, agencies, etc) and coming from various member states, it will engage in reflecting upon both the polices of the European Union and of the member states, with specific regard to climate and energy. It will cooperate with the European Commission and the European Parliament, the EIB, the EEAS, together with other EU institutions and agencies, national Governments, and municipalities.
Newsletters and policy briefings from the EU institutions and national capitals. Starting from 2024, the Club has started to issue a series of newsletters focused on news from geopolitics, the USA, the EU and global policies, the European Parliament, the EU Commission, and national capitals.
EU project proposal and consortium development. The Club works in project proposal development and consortium formation for EU funds, e.g. Horizon Europe, Life, Erasmus, Innofund, etc., focusing on climate, energy, socio-economic development, green investments, in full respect of the EU’s objectives of moving towards a green and gender-equal Europe in Research and Innovation.
Initiative to support EU accession of Moldova, and Ukraine to EU, especially in areas of climate and energy, environment, economics, agriculture, research. The initiative is run by the Club in cooperation with Ukrainian and Moldovan mission by EU. It aims at supporting countries accession to EU through aligned facilitation, training, support for negotiation chapters, liaising with EU institutions.
