In the year 2026, the Club will extend its successful work related to climate finance and entrepreneurship. We do it practically, though two major initiatives on the ground, well executed by the Vice-President Samuele Bennici. 

Environmental Fund for Ukraine (Biochar4Ukraine)

The Club has established close cooperation with Belgian start-up Pay4Climate, which runs the initiative Biochar4Ukraine, in partnership with SAVE UA, to support Ukraine’s green recovery. This project focuses on using biochar for soil regeneration, carbon sequestration, and reclaiming war-devastated land. The initiative aims to enhance soil quality for agriculture and promote sustainable, low-carbon development in the country. 

Key Aspects of the Initiative:

• Soil and Environmental Restoration: Biochar acts as a soil amendment to restore fertility, hold nutrients, and rehabilitate land affected by conflict, according to research.
• Carbon Sequestration: The project supports carbon removal by converting agricultural residues into stable biochar, storing carbon for centuries and generating carbon credits.
• Sustainable Agriculture: By applying biochar, Ukrainian farmers can improve crop yields and reduce the need for fertilizers.
• Partnership: The collaboration involves Pay4Climate (Italy) and SAVE UA to empower local agricultural communities. 

This initiative is part of broader efforts to integrate biochar into Ukraine’s environmental and economic recovery strategies.
