Meeting at the Kenyan embassy in Brussels
18.02.2026. Today, the Secretary General of the Club, Prof. Angele Kedaitiene, has met with the policy and educational staff of the Kenyan embassy in Brussels.
We have had a fruitful discussion about a prospective educational exchange between Kenya and Lithuania in the area of sustainable agriculture.
Furthermore, we have discussed the Italian Mattei plan for Africa and EU-Kenya relations.

11.02.2026. What’s new in modern work organization?
European trade unions institute with a perfect conference on AI, digitalization, and work. There are two ends of the stick. AI threatens some jobs; thus, workers need protection. On the other hand, trade unions embrace modernity and discuss algorithmic management, which can reduce bureaucracy and provide for more transparency.
Should AI be trusted more than human HR managers? I would say yes, to avoid political and other biases, and to keep the best people at work. Some decades ago, Nobel Prize winner Freedman said that the biggest obstacle to progress is the continuous loss of the best people at work.

The 3-hour masterclass will be given by Prof. Ravi Chaudhry, a longtime mentor and advisor to CEOs and corporate boards, including BMW, BASF, IBM, DHV, Sunstar, who also led public-sector engagements with the governments of Switzerland, Brazil, Norway, Canada, and the Netherlands.
