Club Climate Europe
Education, Research and Climate Awearness Rising
CCE with its partners from the USA, Canada, Switzerland, Nepal, Lithuania, Germany, etc. works on establishing and strengthening a few educational lines on climate and energy transition.
Global Climate School (GCS), is dedicated to advancing knowledge and fostering leadership to create equitable and just solutions to evolving climate and sustainability challenges. As an inclusive policymaking, capacity-building, and education platform, it aims to equip leaders, policymakers, diplomats, business professionals, and civil society with the expertise and tools needed to address the complexities of climate change and sustainability.
Non-Degree Program in Climate Diplomacy. This program focuses on climate diplomacy and is designed to empower public sector diplomats, business professionals, NGOs, and wider audiences with essential knowledge and cutting-edge tools for a sustainable future.
The challenges posed by the climate crisis are enormous. Repercussions threaten people’s livelihoods, impair development, and raise important geopolitical questions that touch upon the heart of international politics: sovereignty, territorial integrity, and access to resources such as water, food, and energy. The climate crisis has the potential to cause significant and highly uncertain impacts on societies, undermining human security, and increasing the risks of conflict and instability. Addressing these challenges requires a global-level strategic and coordinated response provided by climate diplomats (including foreign ministers, ambassadors, businesses, NGOs, civil society, students, and schoolchildren), each acting within their spheres of responsibility and influence. The climate crisis is a global issue that touches upon diverse areas of international and foreign policy, and climate diplomacy encompasses all diplomatic engagement related to climate change.
By integrating the latest developments in climate-oriented foreign policy around the globe, achievements in low-carbon technologies, and sustainable practices, we aim to foster a community of informed, skilled individuals, ready to lead the green transition. Our curriculum is meticulously crafted to reflect the urgent need for global environmental stewardship, emphasizing practical solutions and innovative approaches to combat climate challenges. As part of our commitment to nurturing the next wave of climate leaders, we offer a holistic learning experience that bridges the gap between diplomacy, academic theory, and real-world application.
The curriculum is designed around six core modules, each 6-10 hours long and reflects the strategic focus around climate diplomacy. The bonus module, on climate, and health is taken voluntarily:
Module 1: Basics of Climate Change; Adaptation and Mitigation; Decarbonization; Green Economic Growth: A fundamental understanding of climate science, global mitigation strategies, and local adaptation methods.
Module 2: Country Climate Programs – Global Commitments; NDCs; European Green Deal: Exploration of national and international climate commitments, including the Kyoto Protocol and Paris Agreement, with a focus on the implications and applications of NDCs and the European Green Deal.
Module 3: Global Climate Cooperation — UNFCCC; COPs; G7/G20; EU Council; EU Commission:Insights into international partnerships for climate action, emphasizing collaborative efforts between nations to address climate change.
Module 4: Geopolitics of Climate Change; Peace and Security Implications;

Webinars for policy makers and executives on the actual issues of climate and energy transition in Europe and globally, are done in cooperation with the Security and Sustainability Forum and Roots of Peace, both USA.
Later in 2025, the Club is going to launch its own series of Webinars, mostly oriented towards European audience with emphasis on actual policies of climate and energy transition. Some of these Webinars will be done in partnership with Baku Network, the think tank of Azerbaijan parliament.
CCE might focus on policy-oriented research for EU, global, and national policies. The main focus relates to the areas of work of the academic members of the Club, e.g. modeling and analytics, EU 2040 climate strategy, ESG, Global North-South climate cooperation, climate and defense.
